Automatic deduction for repayments?

  • PAYLATER provides automatic payments and repayments.
  • Once customer successfully signing-up, you have agreed for automatic payments and recurring payments.
  • On the due date, we will take your instalment from the payment method you have provided. We will always send you reminders before an instalment is due, and so just to make sure you have sufficient funds in your account for the instalment. We will then do the rest.
  • If a repayment is failed, we will try the other payment method you provided for us.
  • Alternatively, you can always make payments manually on-time or early, by clicking "Pay Now" button on your shopping history in-app.

Can I change the payment due date?

  • For time being, we do not support such feature yet.
  • We might be rolling out such feature in near future.

Can I make a custom (pay specific amount not according to the amount as state in PAYLATER apps) payment at any time?

Can I repay in full before due date?

  • Yes, you can pay in full before the due date.
  • PAYLATER are most happy if you do so. For being a good paymaster, PAYLATER might be able to increase customer shopping limit.

How do payments and repayments work?

  • User pays their first payment when they checkout.
  • The remaining three instalments (repayments) are split into MONTHLY.
  • Repayments are automatically deducted from your selected payment method.

What are late penalty charges?

  • You will be charged for Late Payment Penalty for every 7 days of non-payment

What cards do PAYLATER accepts?

  • PAYLATER accepts both domestic debit cards and credit cards. We do not accept any foreign issued cards outside Malaysia.
  • You are subject to your card issuer's terms and conditions when you use your card with PAYLATER.
  • PAYLATER also accepts FPX payment and direct debit services. For those who requires a higher shopping limit.

What happens if I forget to update my payment details?

  • When the automatic repayment failed, the system will notify you via SMS, system notification and email. Then you can quickly update your new payment details.
  • Please take note that missed repayment will incur late penalty fee. We strongly recommend that you reach out to one of our Customer Service to inform and maintain open communication with us if you have any financial hardship. We will work on some alternative solutions that could help you.
